Qualification & Experience Requirements

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have any of the following:

• CA / ACMA / ACCA / ICAEW (from a recognized professional body)
  OR Certified Internal Auditor
  OR Certified Fraud Examiner
  OR Certified Internal Control Auditor
  OR Master’s degree in Finance from HEC-recognized institution

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 8 years overall experience

• Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in senior audit / risk management role

• Experience in:

  • Internal control procedures

  • Fraud detection & prevention

  • Financial reliability & compliance

• Experience as Chief Internal Auditor in public sector (last 5 years) will be exempted from some conditions

Additional Skills & Advantages

• Knowledge of SECP rules and government audit policies

• Familiarity with donor-funded projects

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to handle audit, compliance & governance matters

• Ability to work independently and in teams

Age Limit

Job Responsibilities

The Chief Internal Auditor will:

• Lead the internal audit unit

• Ensure compliance with audit policies & SOPs

• Monitor risk management and financial controls

• Prepare audit reports and present to management/board

• Highlight financial irregularities and weaknesses

• Improve internal governance and transparency

• Ensure adherence to SECP guidelines and company policies

• Liaise with external auditors & government bodies
