Admissions Open (Session 2025-2026)

Join the 64th batch of cadets in Nautical (Deck) and Marine Engineering branches, become part of the Merchant Navy, and see the world.

Age:
Must not be over 20 years old as of 31st December 2025.

Education, Training, and Degree/Certificates:

• A 2-year intensive training will be provided at Pakistan Marine Academy.

• After completing the training, an Associate Degree in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering will be awarded by NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.

• For candidates from FANA (FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir) and Balochistan, the upper age limit is relaxed by one year, i.e., must not be over 21 years old as of 31st December 2025.

Educational Requirements:

• Candidates must have passed FSC (Pre-Engineering) or A-levels (with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) with at least 55% marks.

• Mandatory pre-sea courses approved by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) will be taught.

Scholarships:

• 33 scholarships will be awarded on a need basis with the support of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.

• Distribution of scholarships:

  • Balochistan: 15

  • KP (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa): 6

  • FATA: 6

  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 6

PMA Batch 64 Admission Disqualification Criteria:

• Candidates dismissed or expelled from any academy/training institute (including armed forces) due to disciplinary reasons or poor academic performance will be disqualified.

• Candidates with any criminal conviction, moral turpitude, or convicted by court will not be accepted.

• Diploma holders (DEA) or those medically unfit as declared by a military hospital or appeal medical board will be rejected.

Marine Academy Karachi Jobs 2025 Selection Procedure:

• Admission tests will be conducted by Higher Testing Agencies in Abbottabad, Gwadar, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Muzaffarabad (AJK), Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, and Sukkur.

• A minimum of 50% marks is required to qualify the admission test.

• Color-blind candidates will not be eligible.

• Shortlisted candidates will undergo medical examination at designated Armed Forces hospitals.

• Final selection will be based on merit: FSC marks, admission test marks, medical and physical fitness test (PET), and interview.

• PET and interview will be conducted after medical tests.
