1. Chief Legal Officer (CLO)

• No. of Positions: 01
• Contract Term: 3 years (extendable once upon performance; not exceeding 65 years of age)
• Reporting To: CEO / Board of Directors
• Place of Posting: MEPCO Headquarters, Multan

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum LL.B. (mandatory); LL.M. / Bar-at-Law preferred.
• Licensed Advocate of the High Court (mandatory).
• Minimum 15 years of post-qualification legal experience, including:
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role as Head of Legal Affairs in a large corporate, multinational, or public sector organization; OR
  • Minimum 10 years as an Advocate of the High Court.
• Proven track record in:
  • Corporate legal advisory, contract management, dispute resolution, regulatory affairs.
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts, MoUs, PPAs, litigation management.

Essential Skills & Competencies

• Strong command of corporate, commercial, labor, regulatory, procurement laws.
• Knowledge of NEPRA, SECP, PPRA, SOE Act 2023, Companies Act 2017.
• Strategic thinker with risk mitigation and preventive legal advisory skills.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and ability to handle sensitive matters.
• Excellent legal drafting, presentation, and communication skills in English.

2. Chief (Information Technology & Systems) [CIT&S]

• No. of Positions: 01
• Contract Term: 3 years (extendable once upon performance; not exceeding 62 years of age)
• Reporting To: CEO / Board of Directors
• Place of Posting: MEPCO Headquarters, Multan

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

• 16 years of education in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or related fields from HEC-recognized local/foreign university (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including:
  • At least 2 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., CIO, CTO, DG IT).
  • Experience in enterprise-level IT operations within the energy, utilities, infrastructure, or large-scale public/private sector organizations.

Essential Skills & Competencies

• Leadership of large-scale IT organizations with successful digital transformation.
• Expertise in:
  • ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), IT operations, automation.
  • Programming, development frameworks, and modern IT architectures.
  • Data governance, analytics, BI tools, cybersecurity protocols.
• Up-to-date with cloud computing, AI, automation, cybersecurity trends.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with all organizational levels.
• Familiarity with IT-related legal frameworks (data protection, corporate compliance, procurement laws).
• Experience in drafting and negotiating SLAs, MoUs, IT contracts.

Remuneration

• Market-based competitive package: Rs. 800,000 – 1,000,000 per month (or higher), based on qualifications and experience.

• Annual performance appraisal by MEPCO Board of Directors.

• Contractual basis only (non-pensionable, no long-term benefits, non-convertible to permanent).
